What is Action Air
Action Air is a practical shooting sport based on IPSC principles. The aim is to move through a course of fire quickly while hitting targets with precision. The sport uses airsoft pistols that fire 6mm BB pellets. You do not need a firearms licence to take part.
Action Air matches test three things:
• Speed. You must complete courses fast.
• Accuracy. Your hits must land in scoring zones.
• Movement. You must plan where you move and when you shoot.
Why Action Air Works for You
• Accessible. You do not need live firearms or special licensing. Anyone can join.
• Affordable. Airsoft pistols, BBs, and basic gear cost much less than real firearms.
• Skill building. You learn safe gun handling, quick reflexes, and course strategy.
• Competitive. Local, national, and international matches take place every year.
How Action Air Works
Action Air uses timed courses with targets at different positions. You start on a signal, then engage targets in any order within the stage design. Scores are based on how fast you finish and how well your shots score.
You must wear eye protection and follow strict safety rules on the range. These rules help beginners and experienced shooters stay safe.
Equipment You Use

• Belt holster and magazine pouches.
• At least two magazines.

Different divisions exist so you can compete with gear that suits your style and experience.
